What to expect – from your first visit to starting at Little Farm

Starting care is a big step, so we make the process as gentle and comfortable as possible for you and your child.

1. Book a tour
Contact us through our website to arrange a tour. Tell us a little about your child so we can personalise your visit and help them feel welcome.

2. Come and meet us
Explore Little Farm, meet our team, ask questions and chat about the days you need and our current availability.

3. Complete your enrolment
If you’re ready to join us and a place is available, we’ll send you an enrolment link to complete your child’s details and required forms.

4. Your first settling visit
Once your enrolment is confirmed, we’ll arrange a complimentary one-hour visit. You’ll stay with your child as they explore, meet their educators and become familiar with Little Farm.

5. Your second settling visit
You’ll usually stay for around 10 minutes before saying goodbye and allowing your child to spend some time with their educators. You’re welcome to stay nearby with a tea or coffee.

6. We follow your child’s lead
Every child settles differently. Some are ready after one or two visits, while others may need a few more. We’ll follow your child’s cues and never unnecessarily distress them to make them “settle”.

7. Regular care begins
Once you, your child and our educators feel happy and confident, your child can begin their regular booked days.
